Egypt provides services to all its citizens, even those working abroad, as the government surprised them by stating that they will obtain a pension insurance once they reach the retirement age.
In this regard, representatives of the National Organization for Social Insurance in Egypt, at the Egyptian Consulate in Riyadh, revealed the mechanisms for citizens abroad to participate in insurance, and then obtain a monthly pension and compensation after retirement or reaching the age of sixty.
The Minister of Immigration and Affairs of Egyptians Abroad, Soha Gendi, referred to the incentives that were provided to Egyptians abroad, and the keenness of all Egyptian ministries and state institutions to cooperate and continuously coordinate to provide facilities for Egyptians abroad, and to overcome the obstacles they face in various fields.
She affirmed her keenness to coordinate with a number of ministries and state institutions to provide more services and incentives to Egyptians abroad during the coming period.
She explained the importance of participating in the various social insurance services, pointing out that there are many positive steps recently introduced and developed by Egyptian institutions to serve the Egyptian communities abroad, including coordination with the Ministry of Education to introduce a system of two-semester examinations for our children abroad, in addition to social insurance services and the development of its services. And other incentives provided by the Ministry in coordination with the ministries and state institutions.
It is possible to participate in the services provided to Egyptians abroad through the Insurance Authority’s website by printing the subscription application from the National Social Insurance Authority’s website and sending it to the Egyptian Workers’ Insurance Office abroad, “Egypt’s office.”
In the event that an Egyptian working abroad is present inside Egypt, he can go directly to the Egypt Insurance Office and obtain a subscription application, where the data including the subscription application are completed, and the value of the monthly income on which contributions are paid is chosen according to the schedule for determining the monthly income categories, which starts from 1400 pounds to 9400 pounds.
The documents required for participation include:
1. A copy of the valid passport.
2. A certified copy of the work contract abroad or with the international or regional organization or the foreign embassy
3. A certified copy of the work contract on board the foreign ship.
4. A copy of the national ID card.
5. A copy of the birth certificate
6. Medical fitness report.
