$425 million .. An increase in Egypt's pearl exports to UAE
Data from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics showed an increase in the total volume of Egyptian exports of precious stones and ornaments during the first 11 months of last year 2022.

The Statistics Authority data monitored that Egypt's exports of pearls and precious stones last December alone amounted to about 143 million and 303 thousand dollars, compared to 78 million and 905 thousand dollars in the same month in 2021, an increase of about 64 million and 398 thousand dollars.
The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics announced a decrease in the value of the trade balance deficit, reaching $2.15 billion during last November, compared to $3.50 billion for the same month of the previous year, a decline of 38.5%.

The Statistics Authority attributed the decline in the trade balance deficit to the decline in the value of imports by 26.8%, despite the decline in exports during the same period, as imports amounted to about $5.94 billion during the month of November.
Compared to $8.11 billion for the same month of the previous year, as a result of the decrease in the value of imports of some commodities, the most important of which are crude oil by 9.6%, medicines and pharmaceuticals by 29.6%, plastics in their primary forms by 47%, and raw materials of iron or steel by 40.3%.
