17 initiatives to empower 29,000 Egyptian women

The efforts of The United Bank in the field of women's empowerment, which resulted in 19 initiatives benefiting 29,000 women nationwide, pointing to the financing of 250 small, medium and micro projects throughout the Republic, with a total of 15% of the size of his financing portfolio directed to the small and medium enterprises sector.

Ashraf El-Kady, President of The United Bank, announced the implementation of 17 initiatives to empower more than 29,000 Egyptian women economically, socially and culturally, on the occasion of the celebration of International Women's Day.

This is based on 4 strategic axes for the empowerment of Egyptian women, namely:

1- Promoting the culture of institutional women leadership. 

2- Highlighting the influential and inspiring role of women to maximize productivity and support intellectual creativity.

3- Launch and implement many sustainable development programs and initiatives to train and prepare women and qualify them for the labor market and production.

4- Rooting the policy of linking the outputs of vocational education and training to the requirements of the labor market.

Stimulating female competencies

Encouraging female competencies to constructive communication through the (Leky) cultural forum, with the aim of extending channels of continuous communication, exchanging experiences, and promoting the achievements of Egyptian women at various levels.Economic and social empowerment of women through developing productivity skills, maximizing financing opportunities, technical consultancy and technical services provided to them by The United Bank.

Small and medium enterprises

The release of 2,000 imprisoned women

Regarding the social initiatives of The United Bank, said: “Zakat al-Gharameen , this campaign aimed to release 2,000 imprisoned women before Mother’s Day, by paying all their debts and completing all procedures for their release.”

Developing women's leadership in the field of culture and health

Supporting a group wedding for 25 orphan girls in South Sinai Governorate, and sponsoring our heritage exhibition under the auspices of the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Ministry of Industrial Trade. The United Bank participated in our heritage exhibition and, through its booth in the exhibition, displayed Bedouin products.
