The new budget includes allocating 3.7 billion pounds to appoint 70,000 teachers, doctors, pharmacists, and other needs in various sectors of the state, and half a billion pounds to conduct the movement of promotions of state workers.
Dr. Mohamed Maait, Minister of Finance, praised the current global crises in which the repercussions of the Corona pandemic and the negative effects of the war in Europe intertwine, including the unprecedented rise in the cost of living, food, fuel and financing.

He added We are entering the new fiscal year with an ambitious budget that is more stimulating to growth, production, and economic recovery, in which the value of public expenditures amounts to about EGP 3 trillion, and public revenues of EGP 2.1 trillion.

The minister stated that the new budget includes allocating 3.7 billion pounds to appoint 70,000 teachers, doctors, pharmacists, and other needs in various sectors of the state, and half a billion pounds to conduct the movement of promotions of state workers.
The minister added that the budget figures for the next fiscal year reflect the presidential directives to provide the largest possible support for economic activity and social security, and to rearrange public expenditure priorities. to ensure fair distribution.

- EGP127.7 billion were allocated to support food commodities
- EGP 14.1 billion were allocated for health insurance, medicines and treatment for those who are unable at state expense>
- EGP 10.2 billion to support social housing.

- EGP 202 billion were allocated for public treasury contributions.
- Pension funds at an annual growth rate of 6%, and the tax exemption limit will be increased by 50% for government and private sector workers at an annual cost of more than 10 billion pounds.
- EGP 31 billion to finance “social security, solidarity and dignity” programs.
- EGP 3.5 billion to cover the cost of connecting natural gas services for homes.
The minister said: The public treasury bears EGP 127 billion in the interest rate difference for the initiative to provide financing to support agricultural, industrial and tourism activities.To support the productive sectors.
The minister confirmed that government investment allocations have been increased to EGP 587 billion to create new jobs and improve public services provided to citizens, in addition to continuing the implementation of the second phase of the "Decent Life" project.
