The head of the Mobile Dealers Division at the Chambers of Commerce in Cairo, Mohamed Talaat, revealed the fact that international companies specialized in producing mobile phones have withdrawn from the Egyptian market.
He said, “What was circulated about the withdrawal of international companies from mobile phone manufacturers in Egypt and their closure, rumors and false information promoted by some Brotherhood and anti-Egyptian websites; with the aim of causing confusion in the mobile market“.

He pointed out that international companies will get additional incentives by reimbursing export burdens after manufacturing locally and exporting abroad.
He pointed out that the agreement between the Ministries of Trade and Industry, Communications and Information Technology; to include the mobile phone in the list approved by the state to grant export incentives to manufacturers and exporters.
He noted that the mobile market in Egypt is one of the largest markets in the region, with 100 million mobile phone subscribers, 12 million landline subscribers, about 73 million mobile Internet subscribers, and 11 million landline subscribers.
100 billion pounds invested in mobile phones
The volume of new investments in the sector exceeds about 100 billion pounds, and phone sales exceed 50 billion pounds annually.
