What did the Russian delegation discuss with Sisi in Egypt?
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a high-ranking Russian delegation.
The delegation included Denis Manturov, Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade and Industry, Mikhail Bogdanov, Special Representative of the Russian President, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry of Russia, Vice President of the Russian Central Bank, and Russia's Ambassador to Cairo.
On the Egyptian side, the meeting was also attended by Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly, Minister of International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Finance Muhammad Maait, and Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir.
Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency, stated that the meeting witnessed the affirmation of mutual keenness between the two sides to continue strengthening bilateral relations in various fields, and pride in the close bilateral relations and historical friendship between the Egyptian and Russian peoples.

The meeting discussed the Egyptian-Russian economic relations supported by the general framework of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
It is the framework that provides various bilateral mechanisms for cooperation, including the joint committee between the two countries for trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation, which is currently holding its fourteenth session in Cairo.
This contributes to strengthening economic, investment and trade relations between Egypt and Russia.
The meeting also dealt with the developments of Russian investments and joint projects in Egypt in many fields, especially with regard to the establishment of the Dabaa nuclear power plant.
As well as the establishment of the Russian industrial zone in the economic zone of the Suez Canal, which will pave the way for the start of projects for joint manufacturing, localization of industry and export to the markets of many countries in different geographical regions.
The meeting touched on discussing cooperation in the field of grain and food supply in light of the current global crisis in this regard.
Russian investments in Egypt
The number of Russian companies and Russian investment in Egypt has reached 400, with a total investment of $7.4 billion, providing many job opportunities.
Among the most important projects agreed upon is the Dabaa nuclear project, at an investment cost of $29 billion.
And a Russian loan and financing amounting to 25 billion dollars, in addition to the Russian industrial zone in the Suez Canal development axis, which is expected to be the volume of investments in this region exceeding 8 billion dollars.
Russian tourism
Also, Russian tourism represents 25% of the total inbound tourism to Egypt, and Egyptian tourism has been affected by the current Russian-Ukrainian crisis.
And previously, the Russian ambassador to Cairo, Georgi Poroshenko, revealed the developments of the largest deal of its kind in the history of Egypt and Russia, explaining that "more than 1,000 train cars were manufactured for Egypt."
