The Ministry of Housing canceled 80% of the fines for units and lands

The Board of Directors of the Communities Authority, chaired by the Minister of Housing, Dr. Essam Al-Jazzar, decided to exempt 80% of the value of late due fines on residential, administrative or professional units, shops, plots of land of all types and sizes, villas and beach units in the new cities.

He explained: "Whoever gets a piece of land or a housing unit, pays installments according to the booklet of conditions with which he bought it, and will be exempted from paying 80% of the fines, provided that he pays all the arrears and old installments, so that he does not stumble again."

Facilities in the payment of financial dues

 He continued: "The important conditions are that he adhere to the implementation timings, if he is implementing it on a plot of land or building a factory, villa or building, and the most important condition is that he has the unit."

The Board of Directors of the New Urban Communities Authority agreed, in its meeting yesterday evening, headed by Dr. Assem Al-Jazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, to grant facilities in the payment of financial dues.

 This includes the abolition of all administrative fees applicable to the rule of thumb in residential projects, including allowing projects to increase the built-up area according to the population density, or the use of the land.

Assem Al-Jazzar said that the facilitation applies in the following cases:

• The cases that are applicable for allocation.

• The cases for which cancellation decisions were issued for non-payment of financial dues and are still in the possession of the client and have not been allocated to others.

• The facilitation is applied under the following conditions: 

• Adherence to the timings specified for implementation, and the waiver of all lawsuits filed  on the body or devices.  

The facilitation does not apply to :

lands allocated under the partnership system, as well as lands that have been canceled and withdrawn and are now in the possession of the agency.
