The first export academy

The aim of the meeting was to discuss the progress made in establishing the first export academy in Egypt.

During the meeting, Dr. Hala Al-Said spoke about the partnership agreement between the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation, the Foreign Trade Training Center and the Egyptian Exporters Association (EXPO LINK) to implement the "Export Academy" project.

The aim of the academy

The signing of the agreement was on the sidelines of the annual meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group in May.

Al-Said explained that the strategic goal of the "Export Academy" project is to boost Egyptian exports and increase economic integration and regional trade between the Arab countries and the targeted African countries.

In addition, it aims to enhance local trade efforts and create new job opportunities for commercial and industrial establishments, which contributes to economic growth.

In the relevant context, she added that the Export Academy acts as a business platform in Egypt, the Arab world and Africa, as it transfers information and expertise to create an effective regional business environment.

Academy tasks

The Academy will work to enhance the export capabilities and skills of a new generation of exporters and businessmen, and to enhance the export and import capabilities of commercial and industrial institutions, and align them with market requirements.

Moreover, it will connect entrepreneurs to global value chains by improving and developing human and technological capabilities.

Supporting economic development

"Hani Sonbol" explained that the export academy project represents a positive step towards supporting Egypt's economic development, specifically supporting the private sector and expanding export opportunities to global markets.

The Foundation will continue to provide integrated trade solutions to support strategic sectors such as food, energy, empowerment of women and youth through the Assistance for Trade initiative for Arab countries and the Arab-African Trade Bridges Program.

Promote economic growth

The establishment of the first export academy in Egypt represents a milestone in the country's efforts to enhance its export capabilities and promote economic growth.

This initiative will empower Egyptian exporters with the skills and knowledge needed to expand their presence in international markets. It will also enhance economic integration and regional trade cooperation, and strengthen Egypt's position as a regional trading hub.
