Open accounts without money ..Free services from banks for two weeks

Starting this week, Egyptian banks offer free account opening service, coinciding with the celebration of International Women's Day.

under the auspices of the Central Bank of Egypt, banks outside the banking sectors can offer their products and customer service, coinciding with the celebration of women from March 8 to March 31, according to what was included in the list of financial inclusion activities.

Documents required to open the account

Customers can open accounts in banks for free via a copy of the card, and they do not need to pay any administrative expenses or a minimum amount to open the account. Services include opening electronic wallets and issuing credit and debit cards without expenses.

6 events for financial inclusion

It is noteworthy that the Central Bank of Egypt had previously identified 6 activities for financial inclusion, in order to spread the banking culture, as well as attract new customers.

These events included:

1. In March, International Women’s Day

2. in April, Arab Financial Inclusion Day

3. in August, International Youth Day

4. in September, Farmer’s Day 

5. in October, International Savings Day

6. in December, People of Determination Day 

In the other side, with in days the annual 18% certificate issued by the National Bank of Egypt and the National Bank of Egypt on March 21, 2022 expires, after the Central Bank’s decision to raise the interest rate on deposits and savings at an extraordinary meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee by about 2%.
