The prices for obtaining the national ID card and the expected fines in the event of delay in issuing it or changing the data of the marital status or place of residence are among the issues of concern to many citizens.

In order to facilitate services for citizens, the Ministry of the Interior started activating the service of issuing the national ID card in the commercial malls in October, Zayed,  arab Mall, Mall   Egypt and other major malls, immediately.

the Council of Ministers had issued a decision to amend the legal age for issuing the national identity card to become 15 years instead of 16 years, as has been applied for years, and according to this decision, every citizen of 15 years of age can apply for the issuance of a national number card, by going to the civil status sector. in his residential neighborhood.

The card is renewed every 7 years. The card also needs to change data in cases of renewal such as marriage, divorce, widowhood, or change of residence (the maximum change of data is 3 months).

Prices for the national ID card form:

·        The regular form is 45 pounds, and the card is received after 15 days.

·        The urgent form is 120 pounds, and the card is received after 3 days.

·        The premium form with 170 pounds, and receiving the card after 24 hours.

·        VIP form from shopping malls at 305 pounds, and receiving the card within 24 hours.

ID fines

·        A fine of 100 pounds in case of delay in issuing it for the first time.

·        A fine of 50 pounds for dealing with the old card after the expiry of the period.

·        A fine of 50 pounds for not updating the national ID card data.

·        A fine of 100 pounds for a citizen that deal with an expired card in front of official authorities.
