“Housing”: offering new units in the Jannah project in 6th of October and New Cairo

The Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Dr. Assem Al-Gazzar, announced a complementary offering of 480 housing units in the “Jannah” project, in the cities of (6th of October - New Cairo), with areas ranging between 100 and 150 square meters.

This is through a first-come, first-served electronic reservation system through the Housing and Development Bank, for customers who were not fortunate enough to reserve a residential unit in the Jannah project, which was previously presented in the previous announcement, and who did not withdraw the seriousness of the reservation.

For his part, Dr. Walid Abbas, Vice President of the New Urban Communities Authority for the Planning and Projects Sector - Supervisor of the Office of the Minister of Housing, confirmed that this proposal comes within the framework of the Authority’s keenness to provide diverse housing units for citizens in new cities. This is in implementation of the directives of the political leadership to provide various types of housing units for citizens in a way that suits their capabilities and needs.

Payment of 10% of the total unit price upon receipt

For his part, Engineer Amin Ghoneim, Vice President of the Urban Communities Authority for the Real Estate and Commercial Affairs Sector, indicated that the payment of 20% in addition to (1% administrative expenses + 0.5% for the benefit of the Board of Trustees) of the total price of the unit will be completed within a month from the end date of the electronic quarantine. Payment of 10% of the total unit price upon receipt.

Quarterly installments

  The remainder of the unit price (70%) will be paid in equal quarterly installments for a period of (3, 5, or 7 years) bearing interest on the debtor’s balance, equal to the interest rate announced by the Central Bank of Egypt at the time of offering, in addition to 2% in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Finance + 0.5%. Collection expenses.

Post-dated checks in installments

  The first installment is due 3 months after the date of receipt of the unit, with post-dated checks for the installments submitted before receipt and payment of the maintenance deposit. It is required that the applicant, his wife, and minor children have no previous acquisition of a housing unit or plot of land within a social housing project, and the family (husband, wife, and children) are not entitled to Minors) apply to reserve more than one unit, and the procedures are completed in accordance with the rules in force in this regard.

On the other hand, the Executive Body for Joint Projects of the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities announced, during the past few days, the offering of 52 residential apartments under the allocation system, with delivery scheduled to take place next February.
