Good news from Saudi Arabia for the Turkish pilgrims
Saudi Arabia cancels the condition of the Corona vaccine for pilgrims from Turkey
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has taken new measures regarding Hajj and Umrah, a step that many of those coming to Makkah were waiting for.
Saudi Arabia has facilitated many Hajj and Umrah procedures for the Turkish people, which was announced by the Saudi Minister of Hajj with the President of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Dr. Muhammad Aqeel, and in the presence of a number of officials of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
This came within the framework of the continuous support and attention provided by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to serve Islam and Muslims, and to facilitate their coming to perform their rituals easily and smoothly, in order to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
In an unexpected step, the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, announced decisions regarding Umrah pilgrims coming from Turkey, including:
1- Canceling the health procedures for the new Corona vaccine for all pilgrims coming from Turkey.
2- Turkish pilgrims are excluded from any requirements related to determining the age or numbers of arrivals.
3- Allowing the performance of Umrah for those who have all types of visas from all countries of the world.
The cost of the pilgrimage amounted to (3,500) dollars for "those in Turkey", which includes travel costs back and forth as well as accommodation, transportation and other expenses while performing the ritual.
22,500 Syrian pilgrims
The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah had informed the Syrian side about the share of the Syrian Arab Republic in the new season, amounting to 22,500 Syrian pilgrims, noting that there is no age limit, but all age groups are allowed to perform Hajj.
The Hajj ritual for Syrians and most Muslims outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was disrupted during the years (2020-2021), due to the Corona epidemic (Covid 19), which led to the cessation of travel between most countries to limit the spread of the virus.
