The "golden license" granted by Egypt to investors has become of great importance for investment during the coming period.
Ambassador Nader Saad, spokesman for the Council of Ministers, confirmed that the “golden license” is very beneficial for investment for several reasons.
Advantages of a «golden license»
1. The "golden license" was approved 5 years ago, and during this period only one project obtained it.
2. In an unprecedented event since the issuance of the "golden license" in 2017, the" golden license" was granted to 8 companies today.
3. The "golden license" saves a lot of time for the investor.
4. The "golden license" exempts the investor from the required procedures.
5. The golden license exempts the investor from approvals to establish the project.
6. Most of the companies that obtained the "golden license "are foreign companies
7. The investments of the 8 projects that obtained the golden license are close to 800 million dollars, which will be pumped by the 8 projects in the coming period.
8. Granting the "golden license" for investment projects indicates that the Egyptian market is attractive for investment.
9. The “golden license” is granted to projects that export at least 50% of their production.
10. The “golden license” is granted to industrial projects in light of the state's efforts to support the industrial sector.
It should be noted that the "Golden License" has been granted to 8 projects:
1- Establishing an industrial complex for electrical appliances for Haier Electric Egypt Limited.
2- A project to establish a plant for the production of feed, chemicals and plant nutrients affiliated to the "CFC Feed and Chemicals" company under the private free zone system.
3- Establishing and operating a factory for the production and assembly of manufactured and semi-manufactured household, electrical and visual appliances and their components for the benefit of the “El-Araby Group Company for Industrial and Commercial Development”.
4- The "Egypt Green Hydrogen Company" project, to produce "green hydrogen" from a 100-megawatt production plant in the Ain Sukhna industrial zone, affiliated to the Suez Canal economic zone.
5- The "Egypt Green Ammonia" project to produce green ammonia with a capacity of 1 million tons / year in the industrial zone - Ain Sokhna - affiliated to the Suez Canal Economic Zone.
6- The project of "Yazaki-Egypt for Electrical Distribution Systems" in the private free zones system, to manufacture electrical distribution systems for cars of all kinds.
7- The project of "SI Wiring Systems Egypt" company, to manufacture electrical wiring systems for cars and vehicles of all kinds.
8- The “Vaccines and Biotechnology City” project, whereby a factory will be established and operated for the manufacture, packaging and packaging of vaccines, human and veterinary serums of all kinds, biological preparations, diagnostics, biotechnology and their accessories.
