For 20 days.. Opening of the floating library

Today, Thursday, Dr. Ahmed Hassan Abu Hashem, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Port Said, approved the health release of the “Logos Hope” floating library.

 Declare health readiness to deal with the floating library after completing a review of all procedures and certificates required to start dealing with it.

Port Said Governorate organized a celebration on the dock of the tourist port of Port Said, for the arrival of the floating library, with the participation of the Directorate of Youth and Sports, headed by Abdel Fattah Hafez, and the Directorate of Education, headed by Dr. Hala Abdel Salam, where children carried Egyptian flags, and welcomed phrases in different languages.

Opening of the floating exhibition

1- The "LOGOS HOPE" floating library, coming from the port of Beirut, arrived at the Port Said tourist port.

2- The library is home to the largest floating book fair in the world, with its second visit after a hiatus of more than 12 years.

3- The ship docked in the tourist port of Port Said on January 4, 2023, and it is scheduled to leave the port on the 23rd of the same month, before resuming its journey to the port of Aqaba in Jordan.

4- The ship opens its floating exhibition to thousands of daily visitors, students and reading enthusiasts in the age groups between 13 and 65 years old, for a small fee to visit the ship and participate in its activities.

5- Children under the age of 13, who are “differently capable,” can enter the ship for free, from ten in the morning until ten in the evening, daily throughout the duration of the exhibition.

6- The ship has more than 400 volunteers, from more than 60 different nationalities.

7- The ship is 132 meters long.

8- The floating library contains more than 50,000 book titles, as well as interactive displays and artistic and cultural events.
