Details.. Increasing the prices of petrol and car gas

In light of the fluctuation of Brent crude prices and the exchange rate of the pound against the dollar, the Automatic Pricing of Petroleum Products Committee concerned with following up and implementing the mechanisms for applying automatic pricing of petroleum products on a quarterly basis decided in its meeting to recommend amending the current prices prevailing in the local market.

The price of selling gasoline products of its three types has been modified, as of two o’clock in the morning on 02/03/2023, to become as follows:

1. 8.75 pounds per liter of 80 petrol

2. 10.25 pounds per liter of 92 petrol

3. 11.50 pounds per liter of 95 petrol

Selling price per ton of diesel

The price of selling a ton of diesel for non-electricity and bakery uses, to become 6,000 pounds per ton, fixing the selling price of diesel at 7.25 pounds per liter, and fixing the price of diesel supplied to electricity and food industries.

The fuel gas for cars has been increased to 4.50 pounds / meter.

Gas cylinder prices

According to the Official Gazette, during the new pricing of petroleum products, the price of butane gas cylinders did not change and remained as follows:

75 pounds for a gas cylinder with a capacity of 12.5 kg. Delivery to the distribution warehouse to the consumer.

150 pounds for a gas cylinder with a capacity of 25 kg. Delivery to the distribution warehouse to the consumer.

These prices include the stamp duty according to the decision issued in this regard.

The new prices were applied starting from Friday, March 18, 2022.

Service tariffs

An official source at the Ministry of Local Development revealed that there is no increase in microbus and service tariffs within cities or between different governorates, due to the movement of gasoline prices today.
