2 billion EGP.. volume of investments in cement in Egypt

The volume of investment in the cement sector has exceeded two billion pounds, as Egypt owns 23 companies that include 60 production lines, with a production capacity of up to 80 million tons of cement.

Medhat Estefanos, former head of the Cement Division of the Federation of Egyptian Industries and a current member of the division, said that the cement industry in Egypt is promising.

He explained that the consumption of the local market of cement is 48 tons, while the actual production volume ranges between 50 and 55 million tons of cement.
