Is Elon Musk replacing the Twitter logo with a dog?
The billionaire, Elon Musk, replaced the blue bird sign of the Twitter platform with the image of a dog of the "Chiba Inu" breed, in an apparent reference to the cryptocurrency "Dogecoin", for which the CEO of Tesla is being sued.
Musk made the change, tweeting a photo, posted by another user a year ago, in which he suggested Musk should buy Twitter and "change the bird's logo to a "Chiba Inu" dog.
Dogecoin logo
The Dogecoin logo appeared on the site two days after Musk asked a judge to dismiss a $258 billion extortion lawsuit accusing him of running a scheme to support the cryptocurrency Dogecoin, according to Reuters.
Lawyers for Musk and Tesla called the lawsuit, brought by the Dogecoin investors, "a work of fiction" because of Musk's "harmless and often sarcastic" tweets.
Returned the "bird" logo to Twitter
While it was not clear whether the change of the logo was permanent or not, Musk returned the "bird" logo to Twitter.
Dogecoin price, which is usually volatile, rose by more than 24% in the past 24 hours, to around 9.8 cents.
While it was trading at less than 8 cents on Monday morning, according to CNN.
