Housing: We are working on implementing a mechanized government department complex in Matrouh

Dr. Assem Al-Jazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, held a meeting with Major General Muhammad Al-Zamlot, Governor of the New Valley, in the presence of Dr. Abdel-Khaliq Ibrahim, Assistant Minister of Housing for Technical Affairs, to follow up the position of the various projects being implemented in the governorate.

New Valley Governorate

The Minister of Housing and the Governor of the New Valley are following up the implementation of a number of projects:

Dr. Asim Al-Jazzar confirmed that the Ministry of Housing provides all forms of support, and attaches great importance to the implementation of various development and service projects to serve our people in the New Valley Governorate, within the framework of the Ministry's strategy to develop the border governorates, provide various services in them, and increase the factors that attract the population to them.

First mechanized complex

Major General Muhammad Al-Zamlot explained that the implementation of the first mechanized complex of government interests is being completed at the level of the Republic, in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the Republic, in light of the state’s plan to improve the quality of services provided to citizens.

It is located north of the city of “Kharga”, and includes buildings for government agencies, a building for various directorates, a building for mass services, and a court complex, in addition to commercial activities. And green spaces, road networks and facilities, with all these agencies equipped with all modern technological means to facilitate the services provided to citizens faster and better.

New Valley

The Governor of the New Valley indicated that the first model of an environmentally friendly house was implemented in light of the governorate's direction to achieve the sustainable development goals, and it is made of alternative materials such as pressed bricks and mixed roofs, on an area of about 125 square meters (3 rooms, a hall, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a green area around the house). 

The available natural local materials are used, and palm leaves are used to manufacture doors and windows, within the framework of the cooperation protocol between the governorate and October University for Modern Sciences and Arts.

service directorates

The governor of the New Valley indicated that the first phase of the service directorates transferred to the building, which includes (youth and sports - housing - catering - veterinary medicine - health - agriculture) was handed over. The housing of workers in the offices of each directorate in the directorates building has begun, and final experiments have been conducted to operate the facilities. In preparation for the actual transition during the next few period.
