$1.2 billion in 2023.. New investments for the Zohr field

Engineer Tariq Al-Mulla, Minister of Petroleum, affirmed the ministry's interest in working to achieve the highest performance rates in the Zohr field in the Mediterranean. The field is of great importance to Egypt in terms of natural gas production and is a model to be followed in production projects

Al-Mulla added that what has been achieved in the Zahr field has been unprecedented rates of achievement globally since it was put on production in a record time after the discovery.

 He explained that his success journey in recent years encourages building on those successes and investing all opportunities in the field's concession area.

 He praised the ongoing coordination between the petroleum sector and foreign partners in the field, led by the Italian company Eni.

  El-Molla pointed out that the field has become one of the top contributors to community development in Port Said.

 The field contributed to the establishment of projects that benefit the people of the province, especially in the fields of health and education.

 He also explained that the budget for the next fiscal year includes the implementation of an ambitious plan to intensify field development activities through:

  Expansion of drilling new wells

 Repair and re-completion of some wells

 Projects are being implemented to raise the efficiency of the facilities at the onshore production plant, including:

  My project is to improve operating efficiency

 Associated water treatment

 Establishing long-term projects to make the most of the assets and their integration, represented in:

 Establishing a compressor station at the Zohr treatment plant and linking it to the compressors of the Al-Jamil station, in addition to the activities that will be implemented for research and exploration.

  He pointed out that the value of new investments in the budget is about $1.2 billion.
